This policy explains what information Lal Bujhakad ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it and what choices you have. We collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send you new episodes. We also store a one-way scrambled version (a hash) of your IP address to stop abuse. We cannot turn it back into your IP address.
- Contact form: if you write to us, we store your name, email address and message so we can reply.
- Server logs: like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as the pages requested and the browser used) to keep the site secure and working.
We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information such as payment details or government ID numbers.
How we use your information
- to send the newsletter you asked for,
- to answer your messages,
- to protect the site against spam and abuse.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
YouTube videos
Episodes are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing from YouTube is loaded until you press play. Once a video plays, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.
Cookies
We only use what the site needs to work, such as a security cookie for forms and your light or dark theme choice. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How long we keep information
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and are then deleted.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to us on our Contact page.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
